Prof. Fred Gardaphe on Italians in the work of John Steinbeck and Pietro di Donato.

We present Queens College professor Fred Gardaphe discussing the depiction of Italians in the work of John Steinbeck and Pietro di Donato.

Steinbeck's The Grapes of Wrath and di Donato's 

Christ in Concrete were both published in 1939.

 

Professor Gardaphe spoke at Canio's Books, Sag Harbor in September 2022.
