Lawrence Ferlinghetti, poet, and publisher of City Lights Bookstore in San Francisco died on 22 February 2021 at age 101.
In April 2022 area poets met at Canios Books in Sag Harbor to read from Ferlinghetti’s work.
The readers were Fred Gardaphe, Distinguished Professor of English and Italian/American Studies at Queens College and the John D. Calandra Italian American Institute.
